Peter Henry Linders was born on July 23, 1836 in Arcen, Limburg, Netherlands, the son of Peter Linders & Maria Catharine Beuijssen. On April 29, 1881 in Arcen, Limburg, Netherlands he married the 30 year old widow, Wilhelmina Katers, daughter of Jordanis Katers and Anna Maria Janssen. Wilhelmina had been married previously to Gerardus Schatorje (or Schadrie) with whom she had three children Matthew, George & Mary Schadrie. Gerardus died on August 31, 1876. These children lived with P. Henry & Wilhelmia after their marriage.
In 1882 P. Henry emigrated to the United States with his wife Wilhelmina and her children Matthew, George & Mary Schadrie. In Wisconsin in March of 1882 P. Henry and Wilhelmina had their first child together, Catherine (Kate). Ten more children would follow between 1883 and 1892, however six died in infancy.
In April 1900 P. Henry was a farmer in the town of Ashwaubenon living with all of his & Wilhelmia's children with the exception of Mary who was living with her husband John Verhaagh (or Verhaag) On September 29, 1909 P. Henry Linders died in Ashwaubenon at the age of 73 due to carcinoma of the face. He was buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery in DePere, Wisconsin on October 2, 1909. Wilhelmina died three months later on December 30, 1909 after which 24 year old Peter and 17 year old Hattie moved in with Kate Linders and her husband Joe Wilmet on their farm in Ashwaubenon.
